A Taste Of Philadelphia

New Bern, NC

2017, Fox Feltman and Joe Lenhart came up with the Idea to bring their South Philly hometown taste to New Bern, NC.   Opened in the Berne Square Shopping Center in January, 2018.  First serving Hand Dipped Hersheys® Ice Cream and Philadelphia Italian Water Ice.  Known in the Philadelphia area as "WOODER ICE".   In late 2018, the New Bern Area was devastated by Hurrican Florence. The store was heavily damaged as parts of the roof caved in.

January 2019, the long wait was over.  Philly Cheesesteaks arrived and while the response was great, many area residence where still homeless and hurting from the Hurrican and many businesses where still trying to get back on their feet.   Almost 1 year to the date of Hurrican Florence, Hurrican Dorian hit New Bern.   Once again, there was more roof damage to the building and the owners decided it was time to close shop.

While looking for a new store front for a fresh restart in 2020, the worldwide Covid Pandemic put this on hold.

2021, plans for the new food truck under a new company name "A Taste of Philly Foods" was born using the old name on the Truck. 

The New Food Truck hit the road to continue the family's journey in February 2022.
